Principle

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services and does not load fonts from third-party servers. Message text, recipients, attachments and saved Quick Text Bar snippets remain locally in Thunderbird and are not transmitted to this service.

Hosting and server logs

The website and licensing service are hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When the site is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address, time, requested resource, referrer and browser and operating-system information. This processing serves secure and reliable delivery under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are deleted in accordance with the periods provided by the hosting contract and IONOS settings.

Email contact

If you contact us by email, the details you provide are processed to handle your enquiry. Depending on the matter, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once the enquiry has been completed unless statutory retention obligations apply.

License activation

Pro activation is triggered only by an explicit click. The licensing service then processes the license key, a random installation identifier and the product identifier. The purchaser name, email address and order reference are retrieved from Lemon Squeezy to verify the purchase. The license key is encrypted, while the installation identifier is stored only as a cryptographic verifier. Short-lived abuse-prevention counters do not contain the plain IP address. Only the random installation identifier and a signed activation certificate remain locally. Deactivation transmits the data required to release the activation slot.

Purchases through Lemon Squeezy

Checkout takes place on a page operated by Lemon Squeezy LLC. Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record and independently processes the data needed for ordering, payment, tax calculation, invoicing and licence-key delivery. The Lemon Squeezy page is opened only when you select the purchase button. No payment data is collected on this website.

External project links

Links to QR Tour, Scribentia, Lemon Squeezy and the Thunderbird add-on directory lead to independent external services. Data is transmitted to their operators only when you open the respective link.

Your rights
